MY ROLE DESIGN

The client briefed us to develop the Netflix on-platform creative for the Spanish limited Original series Someone has to Die (Alguien Tiene Que Morir). The story of Gabino whose parents summon him home to Spain from Mexico to introduce him to his bride-to-be. He surprises his family when he arrives accompanied by Lázaro, a mysterious male ballet dancer. Will 1950s Spain and Gabino’s own family accept reality?

The brief challenged us to create bespoke visuals that conveyed the lavishness in HBO’s award-winning Mildred Pierce miniseries that met the sexual awakening from Call Me By Your Name set in authoritarian, Francoist Spain.
